Setting up File Transfer Protocol (FTP) service

Once FTP service is turned on, users can access any item for which they have access privileges. If you allow guests access to FTP (anonymous FTP), guest users can access only those items for which privileges are assigned to the Everyone category.

    To set up FTP service:
1 Open Mac OS Server Admin and log on to the server you want to administer.
2 Press the File Services button and choose Configure File Server.
    3 Click the FTP tab.
    4 Select "Enable FTP service."
Any user with an account on your file server can use FTP services.
5 If you want to allow guest users to use FTP services, select "Allow Guest access."
